Several years ago, Ellen Nacinovich left a board meeting with a pair of sunglasses only to discover sometime later that they weren’t hers. She wore them to John Master’s greenhouse tour and he 
commented that he lost a pair just like them! Glasses returned. Out of appreciation, John gave Ellen Blc. Cumberland Beauty. I wish I could photograph all 20 blossoms and the 12 that have yet to open.

Oct. 5th speaker is Linda Wilhelm
Linda Wilhelm comes from Woodland Orchids in Charlotte, North Carolina where she and husband Rolf specialize in breeding warm tolerant Oncidiinae (several of their new hybrids have received awards from the AOS), compact cattleyas and also line breed a number of different species. She will be speaking on ‘Oncidium Types and Their Culture’ and will have plants to sell before and after her lecture. It would be good to check out their website www.woodlandorchids.com and look over what plants they have. They will accept preorders and she will deliver them to the meeting.
